Dr. Kimmy graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science in anthropology and chemistry from New York University. She received her doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine before becoming a children’s dentist.
Her research on bisphosphonates was published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery earned the first-place American Dental Association/Dentsply Research Award. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Kimmy was invited into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Epsilon (OKU). This honor distinguishes students who exhibit excellence in scholarship, while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and potential qualities for future professional growth and achievement.
After a two-year, post-doctorate training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Kimmy became proficient with emergency treatment at during training at a level-one trauma center. She also gained extensive experience with full-mouth oral rehabilitation, oral and IV sedation cases, special needs patients and interceptive orthodontics.
